Tiny K. arrived seven weeks earlier than expected after his mom was rushed to the Hospital with complications during her pregnancy. Kai has been in the neonatal intensive care unit since his birth a few weeks ago and despite some tough times he is growing and doing well. I was asked by Helping Hearts to photograph Kai and here he is just three and a half weeks old.
“Watching our little boy, despite the agony, opening his eyes just to see his mom and dad’s faces [has been the best part of this journey for us]. Nothing could ever match the joy and pride felt in that single moment”.
When I arrived at the NICU he was getting ready for a bath, so I was able to capture these sweet moments…
