“Time stands still from the moment you catch your breath”
It was such a pleasure to photograph this beautiful wedding on the grounds of this secluded and oh, so romantic English-style manor. We woke up to mostly pouring rain on the morning of the wedding which meant the ceremony which Katie + Jeff had planned to take place in the garden would have to be moved inside, but in the end the rain stopped, the sun came out and the ceremony was beautiful; it didn’t matter that it poured for the rest of the day! We were able to sneak out between showers for a few photos. Here are some of our favourites from the day starting with some of Katie getting ready. She is stunning in her dress!

LOVE STORY. Jeff and Katie met in Vancouver, British Columbia while out with friends the summer of 2010. Since then, they have relocated to a small northern BC town they now call home. When Jeff proposed on the beach they knew they were meant to for each other and couldn’t wait to share their exciting news with family and friends.
PROPOSAL. “When I think back to when Jeff proposed, all I can think about is how he knows me so well and how that moment is really the start of something so special. Throughout the years we dated, I dropped hints of how and when I wanted to be proposed to and specifics of the ring I would like. He pulled all of those details off and still managed to surprise me!” Katie
THE WEDDING DAY. Planning the wedding from out of town was challenging, but with help from family and friends, everything went smoothly and our wedding day reflected everything special about us as a couple. I love that our wedding day was fun and we got to party, but the thing I really love most is that our wedding celebrated our commitment to each other.
|Time stands still from the moment you catch your breath. Secluded on a 160-acre waterfront estate, Rowena’s Inn on the River is a grand, English-style manor that was converted into a boutique resort. The Inn whispers the historical tale of the Pretty Family evident by furniture exemplifying a timeless stylishness. Conversation pieces, such as the bed of opera singer, Dame Nellie Melba, banister from the original Hotel Vancouver and a dining room table that King George VI and Queen Elizabeth actually sat at are just a few of the stories you’ll hear.|
